Privacy Policy for Terra: Earth to Scale

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use the mobile application “Terra: Earth to Scale” (“Terra” or the “App”) on iPhone and iPad. The App is developed by Maksim Shtonda, an individual developer (“we”, “us”).

In short: Terra does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything the App shows is computed on your device from data that ships with it.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any information about you. The App has no servers of its own and does not send anything to us or to third parties.

3. Information That Stays on Your Device

Some features use information only on your device. None of it leaves the device or reaches us.

• Settings. Your units, home country, texture quality and saved camera positions are stored on the device and removed when you delete the App (or with Settings → Reset settings and camera positions).
• Location (optional). The Live Earth scene can show sunrise, sunset and day length for where you are. Only if you tap “Use my precise location” does the App ask for location permission. Your location is used once, kept in memory while the App is open, and never stored or sent anywhere. You can deny or revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings; the App then uses your home country’s capital instead.
• Camera (AR mode). AR mode uses the camera to place a visualization in your room. The camera image is processed live by iOS (ARKit) and is not recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
• Shared pictures. When you tap Share, the App renders a picture of the current scene and opens the standard iOS share sheet. The picture goes only where you choose to send it.

4. Purchases

The full version is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email, payment details or Apple Account information. The App only checks with the App Store whether the purchase exists on your Apple Account, and remembers the answer on the device. 5. Crash Reports and App Store Statistics

If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage statistics (for example, the number of installs). These do not identify you. This is controlled by Apple and by your device settings, not by the App.
